League of Legends No Sound in 2024? This is Why
Many players suddenly notice muted audio during ranked play. New client updates and system changes in 2024 make this issue more visible.
League of Legends No Sound in 2024? This is Why is often a mix of settings and updates. Missing audio occurs when game audio gets muted, device format mismatches, or voice chat apps override output. Studies indicate small client changes can briefly block sound devices.
Check the in-game audio mixer first. Move sliders for music, sound, and voice, and verify Windows output device matches your speakers. Research shows remapped hotkeys or Discord settings sometimes override the game and mute sound.
Turn voice comms app output off when playing. That stops apps from grabbing the sound device and cutting game audio.
FAQ
Why does only voice chat work while game sound stays silent? Game audio and voice chat use separate devices. Voice app grabs the microphone/output, leaving game sound muted in 2024.
How do I fix sudden mute after a patch? Reset in-game audio sliders, update drivers, and check Windows Sound control panel for correct playback device.
